Crafted in a striking combination of 18K yellow gold and platinum, this estate brooch (measuring approx. 50x28mm) makes a statement. It features a freeform opal cabochon measuring approximately 34x13mm, secured in a custom bezel setting. The opal displays a vivid play of color in a floral broad flash pattern, with vibrant reds, oranges, and greens visible across its body. The design is accented by two round brilliant cut natural diamonds, totaling approximately 0.14ctw (SI clarity, H–J color range). This piece is secured with a traditional pin and catch and remains in excellent condition throughout. A bold and artistic design typical of late 20th-century studio or boutique craftsmanship, this brooch is a collectible example of opal jewelry circa the 1990s.
